1.Before cooking, fit the diverter on Instant Pot steam release valve.
2.Turn steam release handle to sealing position, and then start cooking.
3.When the cooking is done, just pinch the hang hole position of the diverter and turn the steam release valve to the venting position.
4.The diverter will redirect hot steam to the counter rather than the cabinet until the float valve drops down.
5.After using, clean with soapy water and air dry for use next time. Dishwasher safe too.
